A Working Heritage Workshop

Crafted, not manufactured.

Guided by Tradition

Anselma House Leather is a working leather and bookbinding workshop. What began with handcrafted leather journals grew into a broader dedication to preserving the crafts that shape them.

Here, leather is cut, stitched, and formed by hand — and books are sewn, bound, and finished using time-honored methods.

Monthly Mercantile

Once a month we host a short window where the bench clears, the goods come out, and the public is welcome to step inside, see the work, and take something home that’s meant to last.

Located in North Idaho

Anselma House began in Coeur d’alene, Idaho in January 2020 and operated as a local home-based workshop for the first 6 years. As the craft and community around it grew, the decision was made to move into a dedicated commercial space—allowing the work to continue with greater intention, care, and capacity.
